I have had a major case of blogger blues, so I am going to attempt to dive back into posting...we'll see how it goes. If I was to write all that we have been doing since my previous post (& actually the one before that), it would take FOREVER & you probably would get tired of looking at the computer screen. So, with that said, we will just start over...of sorts.
It has been a crazy, busy month to say the least!!! But we are loving every minute of it! I have to say that this Christmas is going to be the BEST. Ansley is to the age now where she remembers EVERYTHING (sometimes not so fun) & understands more than ever (obviously). We decided that we would do something Christmas-y every day of December to celebrate this amazing holiday & to start some of our own family traditions. The kids just make it even more special & fun!
Dec 1 - started Advent Calendar...counting down the days
- made a Christmas chain out of construction paper
- used cookie cutters to cut out Christmas shapes to color
- used the same shapes as mentioned above to write what we were thankful for & Christmas wishes
- picked out a Christmas tree (so cold by the way...too cold for pictures)
- decorated outside w/ lights & put lights on the tree
- Christmas cookies...Spritz...my favorite
- Pink Pig at Macy's
- decorated the tree (I know...it took a while...but we had the lights on) & Christmas cards
- drove to a house in Brookhaven to see HUNDREDS (must be) of Christmas inflatables & lights
- opened the Fisher-Price Little People Nativity Scene & drove to see more lights w/ Mimi & Papa
- wrote & mailed letters to Santa*
- Christmas party Mimi's office
- Christmas party at school
- built a gingerbread house w/ Daddy
- wrapped presents
- went to the Center for Puppetry Arts to see Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (SO GOOD!)
- make Christmas gifts
- Mickey's Magic Show...LIVE! not sure this is Christmas but it's special :)
- watch Christmas movie
- make handprint ornaments
- give to those less fortunate (not sure what we are doing yet)
- ???? (to be filled in once I think of something else)
- Christmas Eve dinner, leave cookies & milk out for Santa, & leave reindeer food out for reindeer
- MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
*Ansley has asked Santa for a bike (aka tricycle), a highchair for her babies (that she never plays with), a scooter & a bed for her babies (that again, she never plays with).
Much Love & God Bless, Brian, Lauren, Ansley & Hayes
