On the road again....

While riding in the car, I have a mirror hanging on the back seat so that I can see AL. She is always doing something to make me laugh.....

This day, she was so tired, she didn't even care that her pacifier was upside down....


This day however, I guess I was driving a bit crazy. She is hanging on for dear life! HAHA!!! With both hands! The sad thing is, Brian does the same thing. When he saw this picture, he said he knows exactly how she feels.

Going All Out!

So, our gutters have decided they're full enough and have started to pull away from the house in two spots. With everything else going on, I guess we overlooked cleaning them out. Oops!

In order to fix this problem, my handy dandy hubby decided he would bring scaffolding home from work. In this first picture, I'm not sure if he is laughing at me for taking pictures, or laughing at himself for obvious reasons.

Fun in the Sun

Last week we met Jaime, Nathan & Elle at the pool. AL loves the older boys & I think they like her back. Brian is in BIG trouble!

Styx & Boston!

Last weekend was pretty uneventful until we were invited to the Styx/Boston concert. They were at the Alpharetta Amphitheatre, which is really nice. We hadn't been there yet.

Brian & I were a bit late, he had a baseball game, so we missed all but the last two songs performed by Styx, which was totally disappointing. But the last two songs were great & Boston put on a pretty good show too.

I took a few pictures with my camera but come to find out, they are staying on my camera because I can't send them anywhere else.

So much thanks to Pat & Ed and Mom & Dad! We had a great time! Also, a big thanks to Kelly, who was kind enough to watch Ansley Lawson. I told Kelly AL would sleep the entire time, but much to my surprise, AL decided she wanted to stay up late & play with Kelly :)

Husein & Kash's Wedding...Indian Style!

July 25-27, 2008

This weekend Husein & Kash got married! It was like nothing we'd ever seen! It was absolutely beautiful & full of culture and tradition!

Friday night there were separate ceremonies for Kash and then Husein. Afterwards they both came back for dinner.

Husein's was a bit of a mess. Part of the ceremony allowed all the Groomsmen to cover Husein with anything and everything they could imagine. All kinds of condiments, eggs, sardines, etc. It was gross! This was actually salsa....

PlayDate at the Pool!

Today Ansley and I met Jaime and her two kids, Nathan, 3 & Elle, 10 months, at the pool. We had a lot of fun and I got some funny pictures. As you can see, the girls both have spoons....

....then Elle wanted to see if Ansley's spoon was any better....

....Ansley had to think about it for a minute....

....& then decided to try out Elle's spoon!


So in the end, they traded spoons!

Countertops & Backsplash are in!

Our new countertops & backsplash are complete! They look so GOOD! Once the countertops were put in, Brian & I attempted to do the backsplash ourselves. Brian & I picked out the tile we wanted & I went to pick them up. Brian got about 12 of them cut, and we decided to call for some back-up. It was a much bigger task than we had anticipated. Not to mention, I was having people over in 3 days. So Brian called a guy he used when he was building houses. He did a wonderful job!
